Learner Academic Support

PAICTA’s objective, facilitated by dedicated graduate interns, is to empower learners to reach academic success by furnishing them with essential tools, guidance, and resources necessary for excelling in their studies. We aim to prepare students to successfully navigate grade 12 and transition smoothly into post-senior secondary school and university life. We provide the following academic support services:

  1.   Educate learners on the utilisation of P2DL and guide them through its functions.
  2.   Aid learners from disenfranchised community senior secondary/high schools in setting up Google email accounts.
  3.   Deliver fundamental digital literacy training, including instruction on using the newly established email accounts.
  4.   Support learners in applying for the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) by assisting them in completing the application process.
  5.   Assist learners in navigating the online university application process, aiding them in submitting their applications.
  6.   Provide printing paper to learners lacking devices or internet access, enabling them to study at home beyond school hours.
  7.   Conduct personalised career guidance sessions to assist learners in exploring various career pathways.
  8.   Act as liaisons with universities to advocate for learners throughout the acceptance process.
